David Farrell

At 28, David Farrell is one of Scotland’s hottest and most sought-after broadcasting talents.

Most recently David aka Romeo left In:Demand, Bauer radio’s Scottish evening show, to take up a new tv role on newly launched STV Glasgow, a new city tv channel available in West Scotland to two million viewers on Freeview channel 26. David co-hosts The Riverside Show 7-8pm each weeknight from Monday 2nd June offering a mix of news, features and interviews.

David is one of Scotland’s few Sony Award Presenters having won Silver for best music programme 2012 for In:Demand that broadcast across 7 of Bauer media's Scottish stations. Whilst at In:Demand, David chatted with some of the world’s biggest music stars including Lady Gaga, Killers, Katy Perry, Pink, Cheryl Cole, Robbie Williams, JLS & plenty more. David hosted a massive sell-out live stage show In-Demand live to a 10,000 capacity pop concert at Glasgow’s SECC including acts JLS, The Wanted, Lawson, The Saturdays & The Script to name but a few.

David hosted the 2013 Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards, Scotland’s version of Pride of Britain. It was broadcast prime time Friday night on STV. He’s all set to host Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards 2014.

David is a bit of daredevil... having accepting a challenge from Calvin Harris, to swim with sharks. N-Dubz star Dappy having got wind of the sharks challenge challenged David himself to a Skydive from 10,000ft wearing a dappy hat..
